Jackie Dana, owner of Getting Dirty Designs, built her first website from scratch in 1995. She is a genuine WordPress evangelist and believes that everyone should be able to have a beautiful website or blog regardless of technical background or financial situation. She values the principles of universal design and usability, and follows the latest trends in social media marketing.
She is a leader of WordPress Austin, and served on UT Austin’s Refresh Project, which for 2009-2010 was tasked with redesigning the University’s homepage.
She also is a strong supporter of web accessibility initiatives. She volunteers for the local organization Knowbility and participates in Austin AIR rallies to build accessible websites for artists and nonprofit organizations.
